''Stimuli-generated matter'' or ''SGM'' is how we call the type of energy Sendiens produce and are made of. Their bodies are literally its ''brains'', all of its memories (or stimuli) become a physical part of its being. As not all memories are needed or worth keeping, sendiens burn useless memory as energy to keep their own Exoforms running, this is achieved by ''burning'' SGM and converting it into electricity, then, ''funneling'' that energy into the exoform and all other appendages, modules and/or weapons.

Another commonly used way of using SGM is Empty Data packs. Empty data is the more common name to what we call ''Null Stimuli Generated Matter'' or NSGM, which is, essentially, a sendien's body, but devoid of any memories or sentience, being essentially just ''empty data'' the NSGM is kept in little containers that can be used in all manners of ways, from extra, backup energy for an exoform, to ammunition for an energy-based weapon.

NSGM is notoriously hard to manufacture, the methods being created by one especially brilliant Sendien scholar, and known to only a few trusted helpers. Empty data is manufactured exclusively by the sendien resistance in a hidden factory, and then distributed through the black market.
